Geocache Description:

This series of Geocaches is around fields and farmland. There are great views and the walking is mainly on tarmac roads. There are a few steep parts so not wheelchair accessible. PLEASE READ NOTES BELOW!

This FarmSide series of 12 traditional caches is placed predominantly around one farm, the main yard to which is opposite Bearacleave Wood north of Bovey Tracey. This farm is a mixed one with good numbers of beef cattle and also producing large crops of potatoes. As you walk round this series, there is a lot for your eyes to see - there are farm animals, birds of many varieties including buzzard and yellowhammer along with a myriad of insects, I counted 8 species of butterfly on my walk round, and many species of wild flower including campion, camomile, bramble, dog rose, speedwell and poppy. At various times of the year you may see different crops - when I walked round there were turnips, grass for silage, wheat and barley. Oh, and potatoes of course!

The views around most of the walk are quite stunning so I hope you will upload some nice pics to the cache page.

NOTES

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN - LOG BOOKS MUST BE SIGNED!

PLEASE PARK AT SUGGESTED PARKING AND WALK THE ROUTE (Preferably Clockwise) - The roads you walk on are narrow single track and there is NO PARKING at most caches. These are NOT cache and dashes! You will probably not encounter much traffic on your way round but if you do please observe the Countryside Code. Also the last section is up a rutted steep track which is only suitable for walking or for farm vehicles!

Sturdy footwear is recommended and during the summer months a good supply of water if nothing else - the terrain is hilly at times, occasionally steep!

I have tried where possible to place the containers so they can be found easily; I would be grateful if they can be replaced exactly where found.
