This is a drive-in cache along the Aurland-Lærdal road. The cache is a clear plastic box, 20 × 12 × 5 cm.
This cache ought to come on the list of the highest drive-in caches in Norway. The road has been given status as a tourist attraction. The overlook nearer Aurland will take your breath away.
The highest point on the road is 1317 meters above sea level. Because of the large number of tourists (muggles) who stop at this point, and the possibility of the cache being found and/or the geocachers being spotted, I have chosen to put the cache at a point which is nearly as high and which gives a dramatic view of Hornsnipa, the top of which has an elevation of 1781 m. The cache is about 7.3 km from the highest point (as the crow flies) at an elevation of about 1309 meters. (The highest point is not visible from the cache.) There is parking near the cache.
