Geocache Description:

The above coordinates take you to GZ the start of your challenge!!

You can park in the nearby pub car park, coordinates below, which should make it easier for carrying you equipment.
From the car park, walk down the hill to the second gap in the wall (trail head) on your right. Where you will find steps leading down to the old railway line, at the bottom of the steps turn right under the bridge, and continue along the old track until you reach the next bridge at GZ.

Before attempting to retrieve this cache make sure you can replace it, where you have found it. This is a requirement for claiming the find.

If you cannot replace the cache, please call into the pub and see the CO for the necessary equipment needed to replace the cache. (This may cost you a pint)

Llandderfel railway station in Gwynedd, Wales was a station on the Ruabon to Barmoth line. It closed to passengers ahead of the scheduled closure date of Monday 18 January 1965 because of flooding by the River Dee which breached the line near Llandderfel on 14 December 1964. This section of the line was never re-opened. The station had a signal box and was a passing place on the single line. Today, no trace of the station buildings exist, however the flight of steps that lead from the road over bridge down to where the platforms once were are still in situ, along with a small section of overgrown "up" platform a few yards up from the steps.
