This cache is located at the summit of Camorro Alto at the height
of 1377 m, the views from here are stunning, and you can see a full
360 degrees. To the east you are looking down on Torcal and in the
distance you will see the Sierra Nevada 88km away, Sierra Tejeda
56km, to the south Malaga 30km, and on a clear day across the
Alboran Sea to the African coast 200km, to the west is the
reservoirs at Chorro 18km, and the lake at Fuente de Piedra which
is a bird sanctuary and home to hundreds of Flamingos 22km. To the
north is Antequera which is only 7km away but the mountain on the
north side is almost a shear drop, so it’s like looking down
from an airplane. Just to the east of Antequera is a small mountain
(the face of Antequera called Lovers Rock) 14km on the boundary
with Archidona and looks like a face lying down. Also to the north
are The Sierras Subetticas 50km. When you get to the summit you
will see a metal container fixed to the rock that belongs to a
hiking club, this is not the Geocache. You are looking for a
plastic container, do not look on the north side of the summit,
this side is a shear drop (please be careful) your GPS should
direct you south from the summit. This Geocache should be easy to
find, but the walk up the mountain is hard, if you have a head for
heights and want to see breath taking views it is worth the
difficult walk up. You can find a way up from Google Earth, go to
Layers/Gallery and tick Wikiloc, and you will see GPS readings from
other walkers. Here is a direct link to one walk:-
