The shortest distance to this cache is the steepest. The more gradual climb quadruples your distance. You decide. The nice thing is that you’ll have time for your heart rate to settle while you seek out this cache and enjoy the vista...east or west.
The cache you seek is on the small side of regular and holds the log book, pencils, a geocoin, and toys. We’ve yet to see any people up here but I am sure they come by from time to time. We did scare up a grouse, found half of a freeze-dried rabbit, and stared down a pair of curious whitetails during our adventure.
Your “legal” weekday parking leaves you quite a walk. So you may have up to a mile of walking round-trip. The longer walk was taken into account for the terrain rating.
Please watch your footing, especially if it's wet out.
