The Strangler: As the trackables have all been taken, the mince pies eaten and the year is drawing to a close it seems fitting to archive this one at this time.

Thank you to all that attended and made it another successful meeting, to the pub for the hospitality and the organisation and to the reviewer for publishing it.

The next Brummie Meet is on. Maybe it will be a Winter Wonderland? Christmas is upon us already, who knows!

Come and meet at The Square Peg, Corporation St, Birmingham, West Midlands B4 6PH.

Have a chat with fellow cachers from 7.00pm until 11.00pm on Wednesday 3rd December 2014. A ground floor spot is set aside for us.

Most city centre bus stops are within a 5 minute walk of the pub. New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill railway stations are all within 10 minutes walk.


This is the regular but informal get together of Birmingham and neighbouring area Geocachers for a drink, food and chat. As the event is on in the lead up to Christmas it would be great to attend with a Christmassy theme but it is not compulsory. Grinches are excepted from good cheer!

No new caches are planned for the event. This is an opportunity to sit down, have a drink, maybe some food but most importantly do some geo-chatting.

Visitors to the area (tourists, conference delegates etc) will be very welcome and may enjoy an evening in the company of like-minded folk.

There are several caches in and around the City Centre for those that wish to indulge. As per previous events, there will be the opportunity to swap Trackables and spot the bizarre!

Please be aware that the chargeable times for on-street parking have now changed. It is free after only 7:30pm. The German Christmas Market will be on in the city centre so you may find that parking will be at a premium. I can suggest some on-street parking should you wish to contact me via my profile.

Please indicate the number of people that will attend in your log so that the venue can arrange food if necessary.

Whether you are new to Brummie meets or a seasoned attendee, Grinchy Dave aka The Strangler will do his best to make you feel welcome and I may even smile!
