ZOO Zlín patrí k nejkrásnejším místum celé Moravy. Rozmanitost kvetin, cetná jezírka, rybnícky, vodotrysky a vodopády v expozicích zvírat Vám spolu se zvíraty nabízejí nezapomenutelné zážitky. Originalitou je rozdelení areálu podle jednotlivých kontinentu. Savci a ptáci zde žijí ve spolecných prírodních expozicích, které co nejverneji napodobují jejich puvodní domovinu. Nevšední zážitky prinášejí velké pruchozí ptací voliéry a pruchozí expozice. K neprehlédnutelným dominantám patrí nová tropická hala Yucatan, která predstavuje faunu, flóru a dávnou civilizaci Mayu Yucatánského poloostrova.
Areál zoo se nachází v krásném historickém parku. Od jeho založení uplynulo již 200 let. V lešenském parku roste více než 1 140 druhu drevin a okrasných bylin. Pohádkové prostredí areálu navozuje i zámek Lešná. Návštevníky prekvapí unikátní drevorezbárskou výzdobou interiéru a rozsáhlými sbírkami porcelánu, stríbra a orientálních predmetu.

Upozornění: Dvě parkoviště v okolí ZOO patří přímo ZOO a parkovné se na nich od roku 2012 neplatí. Je to první parkoviště po levé straně a poslední parkoviště po straně pravé v obou směrech (od Zlína i směrem ke Zlínu). Na ostatních parkovištích se parkovné platí.
Upozornění 2: Změnili jsme umístění krabičky tak, aby její odlov byl bezpečnější a příjemnější. Bohužel se nám stále nepovedlo domluvit se ZOO o umístění krabičky uvnitř areálu, takže i pro tuhle si budete muset po prohlídce ZOO ještě kousek zajít. Na původních souřadnicích krabičku ještě chvíli ponecháme. Příjemný odlov!

POZOR: Rádi bychom, aby obsah kešky odpovídal jejímu umístení, proto prosím vkládejte jenom figurky zvírat a predmety se zvírecím zamerením. V keši nyní bydlí asi 8 zvírat.

These coordinates takes you to the main entrance of the Zlin – Lesna Zoo. But you will not find the cache there.
The Zlín Zoo is not built of cages, but it is a modern bio-park with spacious natural exhibition of animals. Individual exhibitions are sensitively set in a forest environment and faithfully imitate original habitats of animals. Zoo’s originality is the division of the premises by respective continents. Mammals and birds live here in common exhibitions or in adjoining outlets and you, as visitors, can get acquainted with typical and best-known representative animals of Africa, Asia, Australia and South America. Today’s Zoo has 48 ha of exhibition grounds and breeds around 210 species of animals.
The Zoo premises are found in a scenic historical park. The park was founded 200 year ago. More than 1,140 species of decorative trees and herbs grow in the Lešna park. One of the most dominating features in the Zoo is Lešná Chateau, designed in Art Nouveau style from 1887 to 1894. In that time, it was one of the most modern chateaus in the entire Austro-Hungarian Empire. The owners were able to enjoy the benefits of electricity, taps with cold and hot water, modern bathrooms, house telephone and central heating. Today, visitors admire particularly the interiors with exquisite wood-carving and rich collection of Antique and Asian items. The Chateau is located in the middle of a beautiful historical area, where the atmosphere is enlivened with little streams, a number of artificial ponds, waterfalls in the exhibition premises and nearby fountains. The well-planned Zoo grounds are made up of rich vegetation, comprising more than 500 species and varieties of wood plants. Some trees are as much as 270 years old.

There are two parking places that belong to ZOO and are free of charge - the first one on your left and the last one on your right (both directions to and from Zlin).
And where you find the cache? It won´t be a problem if you solve a little puzzle.
