Geocache Description:

Getting to the Point…is 3/4th the battle…A tour of Bluffton.
This is a 4 stage cache which I hope you will enjoy. Please read over all the directions before starting out. I suggest you make a copy of this paper to bring along as a work sheet as you go to each stage of the cache. It starts on the banks of the May River in Bluffton and ends on the water at another location. This cache is a car or bike trip (maybe a little dangerous by bike) from stage to stage. Definitely not a walking cache.

Stage 1: Find an old church at the coordinates: N 32 13.883 and W 080 51.808. The name of the church is on a sign in front of the main entrance. On the back of the sign are several lines of “isms”. Look at the first two words of the third line and place them in the blanks below to get the coordinates of the second stage.
_ _ A _ _ _ _ _ _ U _

N 3 2 1 H . A G R

N _ _ _ _ _ . _ _ _

W 0 8 0 5 R . U G R

W _ _ _ _ _ . _ _ _

Stage 2: Takes you to a watering hole in a shopping center. Stop in for some refreshment if you are so inclined. In front of this establishment there is a “tombstone” looking structure with some writing. Enter the name of this rock below and do the same thing below to get the coordinates of the third stage.

N _ _ _ _ . _ _ _

W _ _ _ _ _ . _ _ _

Stage 3: Located just off of route 278 (but not over the bridge). When your GPS says you are within .5 miles of the location start to slow down and look for a small turn-in. There is an oft missed monument to a South Carolina politican. Enter his name below to get the coordinates for the final stage of the cache.

W _ _ _ _ _ . _ _ _

Stage 4: Finally, the cache. Continue following the road in the same direction, but in 5/100 of a mile turn RIGHT. (This would be the first RIGHT.) Continue on this road to Ground Zero. The container is a camoed former peanutbutter jar and is CLEARLY MARKED as being a geocache. Due to its size please limit your deposits to travel bugs only.
