This is a cache in a park that honors our nation's Veterans. Without them our entire world would be different.
Veterans Memorial Park was acquired by Boise Parks & Recreation in 1997 through a 25 year lease agreement between Boise City and the State of Idaho. The park is for the benefit of the people of the State of Idaho, Idaho's Veterans, and the general public. The park has memorials, playgrounds and pathways. It is adjacent to the Greenbelt. Esther Simplot Park is to the east and currently under construction.
The Memorial Plaza contains a number of different monuments and memorials honoring our veterans. These include memorials to Combat Wounded Veterans, Korean War, POW/MIA, Wake Island, and Pearl Harbor.
The pavilion can be reserved for events and groups. The restrooms are open all months of the year.
Parking is available inside the park and in an adjoining lot with entrances from Veterans Memorial Parkway.
