#byronponds Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

MattyRx: Was going to replace this cache today, but the area is a real mess. Dog owners have left bags of their animals shit everywhere, and there was a knife near GZ. I'll bin this one. Bloody Byron. Beautiful one minute, shitty the next.

Geocache Description:

Tallow Creek

Everything is better with Byron in the name. Even old waste water ponds. This cache will take you on a stroll by some old waste water ponds that are now a haven for bird life. Many a time I have seen birdwatchers perched on the sides of the ponds with their camera in one hand and notepad in the other.

As you venture past the ponds, you emerge out at Tallow Creek, and a nifty little bridge will allow you to cross - though you may get your feet wet. In a big tide, water laps over some of the low lying parts of the path just before and just after the bridge.

WP1 is on the bridge. Right in the middle. There you'll find the full coordinates to the final, which is located close by.

Close to the final is a path that brings you out onto Tallow's Beach - which is one of Byron's less crowded beaches, but it is unpatrolled so swim at your own risk.

The cache has a number printed inside the lid. You need this number to find another cache in town. You're looking for a regular sized container with logbook, pencil and swaps.
