Geocache Description:

One of just so many beautiful outlook sites where the river and wine yards can be seen for many miles, the green Kalahari is one of most beautiful and relaxing locations is the world.

Upington is a town founded in 1873 and located in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, on the banks of the Orange River. The town was originally called Olijvenhoutsdrift ('Olive wood drift'), due to the abundance of olive wood trees in the area, but later renamed after Sir Thomas Upington. This is an easy accessible cache, but please be alert for snakes and spiders as this is an open field.
