Rendezvousberg
Hier am historisch interessanten Rendezvousberg, direkt an der
Brünnerstraße gelegen, gibt es ein Tauschhotel für GeoKretys und
Travel Bugs.
etwas zur Geschichte:
1903 wurde hier eine Bahntrasse von Stammersdorf nach Auersthal
eröffnet. Es verkehrten 10 Züge pro Tag. 1988 wurde der Zugverkehr
eingestellt und 2003 wurde begonnen an der alten Bahntrasse einen
Erlebnisradweg zu bauen. Dieser wurde 2005 fertiggestellt und ist
mit vielen Informationstafel ausgestattet, so auch am
Rendezvousberg. Interessant wäre noch zu erwähnen, dass sich am
27.12. 1805 Erzherzog Karl und Napolen hier trafen. An
den Aufenthalt Napoleons 1809 hier erinnert ein Wandgemälde am
ehemaligen Wirtshaus, heute ist hier ein
Holzmarkt.
Der Cache liegt direkt an der Radstrecke und ist eine Box in der
Größe von ca. 12 x 17 x 7 cm

some historical facts:
1903 was the opening of the old rail track from "Stammersdorf" to
"Auersthal". The traffic was 10 trains daily. In 1988 the traffic
was stopped and in 2003 the old rail track was changed to an
adventure cycleway, which was finished 2005. You can find a
lot of information booards on this track. It is interesting to
mention that Erzherzog Karl and Napoleon met here on 27.12.1805. A
wall painting on the old pub reminds on the staying of napoleon
here in 1809. This pub is now a wood trade company.
The cache is direct on the cycleway and the box size is 12 x 17 x
7cm
