Many new Geocachers have found caches with their Smartphone’s Geocaching App. Then they find a Travel Bug or Geocoin in a cache and don’t know how to log it in and out of caches.
This Event is designed to instruct the new Geocacher about Travel Bugs and Geocoins and how you, the Geocacher, can help these travelers reach their assigned goal.
Many of you downloaded the Geocaching app to your phone to get started. You have been using the, “Search for nearest cache” and you go get it. There are many other possibilities that you, the new geocacher, don’t know about. We will be giving some additional training on the various types of caches and how they differ from each other. We’ll also look at various ways to prepare yourself, in advance, for that trip out of town.
This training Event will be held at:
Quiet Village II Rec Hall
Sunday, September 11, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm or later.
Quiet Village II, 215 S. Valley View Rd., Donna, TX.

We will have tables and chairs available. You may want to bring an extension cord if you think you may need a source of power.
Bring your own drinks. Water and canned soft drinks may be available for a nominal fee. We will supply a few snack items.
