Trip 1
Dad said "We're leaving Melbourne and heading north for 394km to Coleambally. Then we're heading east for 427km to Canberra." Teenager pipes in, "That's A kms as the crow flies!"
Trip 2
Dad said "The trip from Port Macquarie to Melbourne is 996km as the crow flies, but we're taking a more interesting route. We'll head west for 600km and then go south for B kms."
