The Laima Clock right next to the Freedom Monument is probably THE most popular meeting place in Riga for residents and visitors alike. If the clock could talk, it would tell many romantic stories. It does not matter - summer or winter, Laima Clock stands at the crossroads of multiple emotional meetings.
And that's why this is the place where we want to meet you.
The Laima Clock is conveniently located by the Freedom Monument, the Latvian National Opera, and Bastion Hill. It was set in 1924 with a completely different idea - to make people arrive at work on time. In 1936 the clock was adorned with the name and logotype of Latvia's biggest sweets producer - Laima. After the Second World War, the clock served as a stand for political information. In 1999, Laima Clock was fully restored.
