A cache that requires you to get up and out into the woods. You can only go so far on a machine.
Off the main trail, we were taking a little hike through the forest. We knew we needed to place a cache out here somewhere. Enjoying the peace and taking photos we noticed a herd of elk not to far away. They noticed us, but didn't seem to mind to much. As we got closer, they just walked a little further down. We noticed they were going to cross over the small Jeep trail nearby so we were going to go up to the road to see if I could get a few good shots up there. Unfortunately, in the distance we heard the sound of quads coming, and of course they were coming down the Jeep trail that the elk were hanging out at. As they flew by, engines roaring we hear them stop and the whole heard of elk bolted back into the forest as quick as could be a were gone in a flash. I was very bummed to have had them spooked by the quads..... So this cache was placed in order to require you to get off the dang machine, and actually enjoy nature while in it, not just drive through it. Please place as found, and be sure to take a moment to just enjoy your surroundings. Make sure you look, listen, and feel what is around!
