Der Schoberstein liegt im äußersten Westen des Höllengebirges. Mit 1037 Hm nicht wirklich ein Riese, bietet aber im Aufstieg einige herrliche Ausblicke über das Atterseegebiet.
Ein möglicher Startpunkt ist gegenüber dem Parkplatz bei N47°47.655 /E 13°32.340. Bis zur Nikolaikapelle geht es relativ flach , um dann in Serpentinen anzusteigen. In der letzten halben Stunde auf den Gipfel wird der Weg schmal und felsig und erfordert etwas Vorsicht, und natürlich entsprechendes Schuhwerk. Der Cache befindet sich aber etwas unterhalb des Gipfels. Erreichst du eine Kreuzung, bist du dem Cache nahe (4m).
Im Logbuch findet sich auch eine Zahl für einen 'AMI-Bonus' und die Höllengebirgsüberquerung 3DHG
English Description
The Schoberstein lies in the extreme west of the Hoellengebirge (means hell mountains). With 1037 m not really a giant, but have in the ascent some wonderful views over the region of Attersee. A possible starting point is opposite the parking lot N47°47.655 /E 13°32.340. Up to the Nikolaikapelle it goes relatively flat, then the way leads up in serpentines. In the last half hour to the summit the way gets narrow and rocky and requires some caution, and for sure corresponding footwear.
The Cache is however somewhat underneath the summit. If you reach a crossing, you are close to the Cache (4m).
In the logbook exists also a number for an AMI-Bonus and the 3DHG - crossing of the hell mountain range
