Clos du Doubs is a place near the border between France and
Switzerland and is declared as an national park area.
Wanderers and canoeist can expect a wonderful scenery. It is a
steep walk through the forest from about 10 minutes from the
parking area ( SUI / CH 1903 = 576616 / 241994 ) up to the
walkway.
After walking for about 1 hour you will reach the cache, which
is in a curve. There, you will have an overwhelming view all over
the valley.
On picture no. 1 you can see the cache beside the walkway (334
degrees), on picture no. 2 on 99 degrees. Inside of the
brown-coloured box (with a white top) are a log book, a ball pen, a
pocket knife and a cigarette lighter. The box is about 18 cm long

It is no effort to walk this way but we recommend good walking
shoes. Several picnic areas are on the way. You also can take a
bath in the river, which is very clean. From Basel you will reach
the parking area within an 1 hour drive.

Clos du Doubs liegt am gleichnamigen Fluss welcher teilweise die
Grenze der Schweiz zu Frankreich bildet und als Naturschutzgebiet
ausgewiesen ist. Eine wunderschöne Landschaft erwartet den Wanderer
oder Canoefahrer.
Vom Parkplatz aus ( SUI / CH 1903 = 576616 / 241994 ) geht ein
steiler Aufstieg (10 Min)auf einem Forstweg durch den Wald auf den
Höhenweg. Nach ungefähr einer Stunde erreicht man das Versteck,
welches sich in einer Kurve befindet. Von dort aus hat man einen
wunderschönen Blick auf das Tal.
Auf dem Photo Nr. 1 sieht man das Versteck in 334 Grad am
Wegrand, auf dem Photo Nr. 2 auf 99 Grad. In der runden Box, 18 cm
lang und mit einem Durchmesser von 10 cm ist braun mit einem
weissen Deckel. Neben dem Logbuch sind ein paar Kugelschreiber, ein
Taschenmesser und ein Feuerzeug beigelegt. Wanderkarten: 1:25'000

Der Weg ist nicht beschwerlich, gute Schuhe sollte man aber
schon mitnehmen. Picknickplätze sind vorhanden. Baden im sauberen
Doubs ist ebenfalls gestattet. Von Basel aus erreicht man den
