islander1988: Well, this cache lasted almost 8 years, but unfortunately it sounds like it has disappeared, and I won't be here in the near future to replace it. So, I guess the time has come to let this one go, and maybe someone will hide something new here to bring people to the site.

Geocache Description:


In the West we talk of WWII, which ran from 1939-1945, but in Ukraine it's referred to as The Great Patriotic War, which ran from 1941-1945. Not far from Arsenalna metro station you will find Glory Park, and at the base of a monument, the Eternal Flame.


This cache was hidden on Remembrance Day 2013, right around what would have been 11a.m. local time at my home in Canada, which seemed appropriate. Less than a week before, celebrations were held in Kyiv to mark the 70th anniversary of the city's liberation from Germany during the war.
The cache is located not far from one of the entrances to the park. Please use stealth as there will likely be muggles walking about. After finding the cache, enjoy the park, and take a moment to remember those who fought so many years ago for freedom.
