Geocache Description:

This cache is near an area that once would have been a nice country setting, now threatened by suburban sprawl.

Because of recent, and multiple vandalism done to this cache, including stealing of TBs, I've decided to replace this cache with a micro container. It has been relocated to new coordinates, and easier to find than the original placement. The cache name is not as accurate as before in that now the path through this bridge links up with the new trail and pedestrian bridge that runs along the WI River.

This is not a particularly old, historic bridge. It was erected about ten years ago on top of some old, bridge supports, spanning the picturesque Cedar Creek. I've ridden my bike over this bridge on my way to work and home many times, before the new road was put in. Recent commercial development and expanding the highway in the area now infringe on its natural surroundings. I've heard there are some Native American burial mounds or settlement evidence nearby.

Parking to get to this cache is probably best in the lot of one of the two area hotels as you drive into the mall area off Business 51.
