Geocache Description:

This is a very special old cache that was placed on 12-18-2003, below is the original description.

This is the fourth in our series of tribute caches. Take the Preston exit and park at N47 31.847 W121 56.720. Watch closely for the trailhead marker at the side of the road.

We placed our cache on the way to Oh Tananbaum, a wonderfully unique cache on the slopes of Tiger Mountain.

Pepper and Cin climbed over fallen trees, sloshed through streams, and wound our way up a small mountain…all in search of a Charlie Brown tree and a box full of ornaments. As a tribute to Oh Tananbaum, we hid our cache on the first leg of the trek. Ours should help you find the parking spot, plus it will guide you toward the first turn in the trail.

You could make this a quick stop during a drive on the nearby Interstate (I-90), since there’s a convenient exit nearby. However, if you feel up to a nice hike and a fun adventure, we strongly encourage you to head on up the trail and just make our cache a stop on the way.

I adopted this cache on 1-8-2017, because I wanted to see this history preserved.  One of the things that I think is interesting is that the cache mentioned in the description is still going as well.  There was an incident in 2018 where the cache container was taken, fortunately the contents, some of them irreplaceable survived.  Please remember that there is geocaching history inside this container, and please be certain to re-hide the container well.
Thanks,
SirKarp
