This is a Wherigo geocache. In order to find the cache, which is walking distance from the posted coords, you will need to download and play the Catalpa Wherigo cartridge, which can be downloaded here:
To play the cartridge, your will need a Wherigo-compatible Garmin GPS receiver, a Wherigo player app for your smart phone, or another device that plays Wherigos. For example, we used the WhereYouGo app on my Android smart phone to test this cartridge. The cartridge has also been tested on one of the Little Allen Cachers' iPhones. If you are using something else that we have not tested, we hope it works!
The Catalpa tree on the grounds of the Michigan State Capitol is said to be the largest and possibly the oldest Catalpa tree in the United States. Additional information about the tree and the cache are contained within the cartridge.
This is our second attempt at creating a Wherigo cache. This cartridge is less simple than our first, but it is still pretty easy. We hope that accomplished Wherigo hiders and finders will not be too disappointed.
Enjoy your visit to to the State Capitol grounds!
Congrats to Sludge_Shoveler on being First to Find!
