Helppo ja hauska kätkösarja kaikenikäisille ja karvaisille. Kätköille on maanomistajan lupa. Lähistöllä on ajoittain runsaslukuisesti jästejä. Jätäthän autosi merkityille P-paikoille ja muistathan välttää kulkemista kartanon yksityisalueilla. Oma kynä ja iloinen mieli mukaan!
HISTORIA : Vanhimmat maininnat Wiurilan kartanosta ovat 1400-luvulta, jolloin sen omistajaksi mainitaan Magnus Johansson till Wiorela 1400-luvulla. Wiurilassa on ollut 1800-luvulla oma saha ja tiilitehdas ja kartanossa on toiminut 1800-luvun loppupuolelle saakka olutpanimo sekä viinatehdas. Armfeltin perhe on omistanut kartanon jo vuodesta 1787 lähtien.
RAKENNUSHISTORIA: Wiurilan päärakennus oli pitkään puinen. Uusklassista tyylisuuntaa edustavan kivisen päärakennuksen on suunnitellut August Philip Armfeltin tilauksesta italialainen Carlos Bassi ja se valmistui 1810-luvulla. Kartanon talouskeskuksen suunnitteli C.L Engel, ja se valmistui vuosina 1835-1845. Museovirasto on määritellyt Wiurilan kartanon yhdeksi Suomen valtakunnallisesti merkittävistä rakennetuista kulttuuriympäristöistä. Lähde: Wikipedia

Wiurila Manor 1
Wiurila Manor now has its own geocache series located around the manor house grounds. It’s an easy and fun series for people of all ages and their furry friends. All geocaches have the landowner’s permission. But watch out, there are many muggles about! Please leave your car on the marked parking area and avoid the private areas. Take a pen and a positive attitude with you! The first mention of Wiurila in historical records is from the 15th century when the owner was Magnus Johansson till Wiorela. In those days Wiurila was very self-sufficient - the farm grew its own food, made cheese in the dairy, distilled alcohol, milled timber and made bricks which were used in some of Wiurila’s buildings such as the farm houses. Wiurila has been in the possession of the Armfelt family since 1787.
The original main building of Wiurila Manor was built of wood. Today, the main building is made of bricks in neoclassical style, and was designed by Italian architect Carlos Bassi by order of August Philip Armfelt. It was completed in 1812. The old farm house was designed by C.L. Engel and it was completed in 1835-1845. The National Board of Antiques has declared Wiurila Manor as one of the most esteemed manor houses of the Finnish cultural landscape.
