Breaking news today there has been a kidnapping along the trails in eastern Gooseland. Our reporter has just came back from the scene of the alleged crime with this report.

Mother Goose can you tell us in your own words what happened: "Honk HOONK honk" Mother Goose how about our words?

OK where should I start, oh yes .. I was just getting supper ready, fresh green grass and grasshoppers, you know that is XXII favorite. Then along came this hhuummaann, you know that thing with arms and fingers, no wings I just don’t know how they can get around without wings, I told XXII to get under my wing for protection and keep quiet. Fingers kept looking at a box it held and walking in a strange way looking under that log over there and behind those trees, then it circled around and came right at me me and XXII. Fingers grabbed me and XXII fell out from under me. Fingers looked at XXII like Fingers had found a prize and stuffed XXII into a bag. That was the last I saw of poor XXII, going off down the trail in Fingers bag.

Reporter: as Mother Goose finished her story an Owl dropped a letter in Mother Gooses Nest.

Mother HELP!!! come and get me!!!! I tried to remember what you told me to do when the cold comes and we go south, is take notes. I am so scared. After Fingers put me in the bag, we moved, but not like flying very rough for a few minutes. Then he set me on the ground but not, it was softer, and the ground started moving almost like we were flying but a little rougher. This seemed to go on for ever. About one and half hours, during this time I was able to work my head and neck out of the bag, I could see the strange box that he had by our nest ,on the box were symbols N43° 03.109 and under that was W89° 04.565 I hope you know what that means, at that point Fingers turned and the sun got in my eyes, but I could see some more symbols in front of Fingers, and when the sun got in my eyes the symbol was 38470.0 and when we turned into an area with big rocks with symbols on them the thing in front of Fingers the symbols were 38471.0. Fingers said if I didn’t behave, Fingers was going to leave me here in what looked like a nice area, short grass and a corn field near by. I was hoping Fingers would leave me here next to the short tree that Fingers made water come out of. Then Fingers started changing the symbols on the box, Fingers said this next place would be a better location to keep me because it has more food plus water. Fingers said I was to be the guest of honor at a party this winter he wanted me to eat lots of food. I put those symbols on a feather and before I could tuck it back in; the wind grabbed my feather and carried it over by the short tree that water poured out of. Fingers pushed me back in the bag and the ground moved again like we were flying but weren’t. When we stopped again I could see a nice pool of water, corn field and a place I could play. As I looked around inside the play area we stopped, Fingers said I can’ t go in the tunnel because I was not two. I think Fingers is watching me closer since he saw me drop the feather back at that other area. Fingers is putting symbols in to the box again and Fingers said we will go to this other spot that is not as busy. I am going to give those new symbols as a code I hope you can figure them out.

Then Fingers pushed me back into the bag and we moved again like we were flying but weren’t. I was getting very tired of the dark bag, so I started telling Fingers I wanted to go home and I wanted out now. We stopped really fast and took me out of the bag , I could see a very nice pool with some of our relatives swimming around. I was telling Fingers this was the spot to let me go. Fingers took me over by this barrel and said if I didn’t keep quiet it was going to stuff me in there. And again Fingers put symbols on the little box, I was able this time to put the symbols on a feather but again it fell toward the barrel before I could tuck it back into my wing. Back into the bag I was stuffed, but this time the ride was rougher like when Fingers took me out of the nest. I was just getting comfortable with this ride when the world fell out from under me. When he opened the bag the sky had gone dark, I could not see. Fingers said the cellar of this house would be the perfect place for me. The last thing I heard Fingers say after it bolted the door shut was I better be quiet, I am near the DNR trail and the DNR gives out Goose hunting license. Fingers made a funny noise ha ha and Fingers was gone. MOTHER HELP I gave this note to a owl that would deliver this to you, oh I hope it’s not one of the Weasley’s owl’s.
