Geocache Description:

RENEWED LOGBOOK sept 2010

A pretty heavy walk from the Ehrwalder Alm to the Coburgerhutte , and then further on therefrom via the TAJATÖRL GANGHOFER STEIG back to the Erhwalder Alm.
(On this way you can try to catch also the "Coburgerhutte part I" cache.)
Please take care about the weather, and only go on from the Coburgerhutte to pass the Tajatörl, when the weatherconditions will stay calm!!!!.

A 10 minutes walking before you arrive to the Brendl See, you will see the landing gear of a LIBERATOR, an American bomber, that was shot by a German fighter.
This fighter was of the type FW 190.
One of the German pilots was Willy UNGER.

Another possibilty to reach only this cache is by starting at the Ehrwalder Alm and to go first to the Brendl see, continuing the path for +/- 10 minutes.

One meter away from the rests of this landing gear, you will find the cache.

included are a picture of the landing gear and also a picture of the cache location.

The coordinates given above might be not very correct because of the very bad weather, but with the help of the pictures and knowing that YOU DON'T HAVE TO LEAVE THE PATH, you certainly will find this special cachelocation.
