This is an electronic cache.
When arriving at ground “0” you will find a box with a latch and the geocaching logo on the outside.
When you open the door you will hear a tone, the key pad will light up, and a red light will start blinking.
At this point your partner will need to push in on the lid of the far box labeled “OFFICAL GEOCACHING GAME PIECE”.
You must push the lid closed on the far box or the latch will not release!
Now you need to enter the secret 4 digit code. After you enter the code the light will turn from red to green and you will hear the latch click in the far box and your partner will have 2 seconds to pull it open before it relocks.
If you fail the first time just reenter the code for a second chance.
If upon opening the box with the keyboard you do not see a red light or you don’t hear the click in the far box when the code is entered the battery is probably dead, notify me and I will recharge it ASAP.
Please do not bother the box in the middle. it only contains a solar panel to hopefully maintain the charge of the battery.
Please be respectful of this area! The business owner was gracious enough to allow this cache to be placed here so please don’t do anything that would make him have bad feelings about geocachers.
If you happen to be here at lunch or dinner time and find yourself hungry throw the establishment a bone I’m sure you will find both the food and wine delightful!
Please remember to make sure both boxes are closed and latched when you leave if you leave the box with the keyboard open the battery will go dead ruining the fun for other catchers,
