Geocache Description:

Quackers for caches? Come and contribute to our potduck with your choice of cultural dish (MCA probably has dibs on 'murica with his traditional fried chicken, but duplicate countries are totally fine!). This event is located just off of the B-line trail for those of you wanting to avoid the crowds from the downtown JazzFest, but close enough for those wanting to meander in that direction out of masochistic curiosity.

Come join us at the Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park on Saturday, August 20th to celebrate International Geocaching Day!

Don't duck out on this event! Out of a nod to the near anniversary of the first trackable*, there will be ducks, ducks, and more ducks. Ducks for all, and I don't give no ducks if you don't want one. Swing by, say hi, and grab a duck for your trouble.

Contribution to the potduck is not required, but foods and beverages from different countries are certainly welcome!

Tenative time: 11 AM-2PM**

*On August 30, 2001, Geocaching.com Founder Jeremy Irish activated the world’s first trackable, TB1, along with a series of other tags based on the seven deadly sins. These Deadly Ducks, with the names of Envy, Sloth, Pride, Gluttony, Lust and Anger, headed out into the world to travel from geocache to geocache. (The Greed Deadly Duck was placed in a geocache that was never listed on Geocaching.com and may still be hidden in Virginia).
