This series was created
to BRAND one of our favorite parks with the name of the
GREAT STATE of TEXAS!
It's also a challenge to
geocachers as this area will require a decent hike, in some flat,
but thorny terrain. There are wild animals to be seen, such as
snakes, raccoons, possum, armadillos, deer, feral pigs, and if you
are extraordinarily lucky, even bobcats.
The area is a flood
plain reservoir, so depending on the time of year, it can be
extremely wet. If it's wet, bring waders and snake boots. If it's
dry, it can be extremely thorny, so wear pants and snake boots. If
it's the one day out of the year in Houston that has perfect
weather, then enjoy yourself, bring water and of course... snake
boots.
