SideTracked - Berrylands Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

AngelPick: Hmm, went and checked this one out, and of course found it this time round. Typical! As it is not the most popular of caches I reluctantly took the micro from it's hiding place, placed it in my pocket and came home to archive it. [:(]

Geocache Description:

We have Motorway Mayhem for the drivers amongst you, what about the poor commuter, SideTracked comes to a station near you...

Berrylands Station

Berrylands railway station, operated by South West Trains, is on the South Western Main Line from London Waterloo to Hampton Court Branch. The station is on the elevated section of the main line, where it crosses both Norbiton Common and the Hogsmill River, a tributary of the River Thames. It was opened on 16 October 1933 to serve large housing developments, which gave the station its name. 90% of the cost of the station was financed by the local developers to enhance the attractiveness of the new estate to commuters. I’m sure they never envisaged the Precast Concrete eyesore we have today! Officially this is classed as “modern”.

The cache is a magnetic 35mm Film Canister and has a log book and small pencil.
