Geocache Description:

This is in a public place so watch for MUGGLES! This cache is not at the posted coordinates. Read below to find me!!! FTF prize: $5 gift card for local coffee shop

As a child, I was always a little bit of a “Geek.” My spare time was spent working puzzles and brain teasers. This was “Fun” to me. Of course I always got chided by my fellow students. It’s kind of funny when I think back to those days. I remember a specific day, one that gave me a challenge unlike any I’ve ever seen before or since. This was the day my chemistry teacher decided to show me just how un-intelligent I was. She challenged me to a riddle. Of course I readily accepted because I hadn’t been beat yet. She also added a special challenge…. I was to never attempt another brain teaser again until I solved her riddle. I figured “Not a big deal,” and accepted her challenge. She started a chant and began rolling dice. It went as follows: The game is the name of the game, and the name of the game is “Polar Bears Around the Ice Hole.” As in the days of King Arthur, and like the petals around the rose. How many “Polar Bears” do you see? She rolled the dice over and over and each time spouted out her “count” of polar bears. I however could not make sense of these numbers as she saw them. I would count 10 or 12 spots and she would “see” 0 “Polar bears”. I would count 20 and she would “see” 8. One day, I ran into her and she questioned me about the riddle. I explained to her that I had finally solved it and began to explain the simple answer. Once I gave her the solution, she asked me to spread this riddle around as it is the tradition of the members of the “Polar Bear Club.” (No affiliation to the weirdoes who jump into freezing water in the middle of the winter just for the fun of it.) The following is several rolls of dice that combined with simple algebra will give you the coordinates to my new cache. It’s kind of like a two-for-one. Find a new cache and become a “Polar Bear.” Just remember this is a lot easier than you will make it! > > >
