Station Bovenkarspel-Flora
Het station bestond dus al veel eerder: voor 20 mei 1941 heette het Broekerhaven, voor 22 mei 1977 Floraweg, waarna het is veranderd in Bovenkarspel-Flora.
Het station is in 1977 geopend, op de locatie waar sinds 1963 de tijdelijke halte Floraweg was aangelegd, speciaal voor de jaarlijkse bloemententoonstelling Westfriese Flora. Deze tentoonstelling vond sinds 2004 overigens niet meer op regelmatige basis in Bovenkarspel plaats.
De Westfriese Flora was bekend in Nederland. Vele tienduizenden bezoekers reisden ieder jaar naar Bovenkarspel. In de topjaren kwamen er wel meer dan 100.000 bezoekers. In 1963 opende het speciale aangelegde NS-station met de naam Bovenkarspel-Flora.
Vele bekende Nederlanders bezochten de Westfriese Flora, zoals voetballers en zangers. In 1958 kwam koningin Juliana op bezoek. In 1983 opende zij, toen als prinses Juliana, de vijftigste Westfriese Flora.
