On a walk in the hemlock forest, Bernie came across this woodland creature.
"What kind of dog are you?" Bernie asked.
Insulted, the creature scowled and said nothing.
Realizing his mistake, Bernie presented the creature with the gift of a beautiful blackberry (aka crowberry) he had picked earlier in the day. Bernie wasn't sure, but it appeared that the creature's scowl softened a little at the sight of the delicious morsel. The corners of his mouth even turned up in a slight smile.
So if you run across this guy in the woods, greet him in a polite and respectful manner, bring a pen and he may even let you sign his prized blackberry.
But be clear...don't mistake him for a dog.
There are many great trails that can be reached from the Upper Huffman parking lot that are fun in summer and winter. Have fun exploring them like Bernie does! Cache placed under GeocacheAlaska! Park Use Permit #15-KA-1994.
