V jizni casti Brandysa pri silnici do Prahy lezi drive samostatna obec Vrabi, ktera byla sidlem rodu panu Tluksu z Vrabi.
Vrabi bylo k Brandysu pripojeno roku 1584. Jeho centrem byvala tvrz, v baroku premenena na sypku, kde cisar Rudolf II. roku 1607 prijal turecke poselstvo. Kolem roku 1400 Ales z Vrabi zalozil oltar Vsech svatych v kapitulnim chramu sv. Vaclava ve Stare Boleslavi - dodnes se uziva pro knizeci kapli
v leve lodi baziliky, kde lze spatrit i rodokmen rodu, take pojmenovani Vrabska.
Z Vrabi je nedaleko k Hrusovskemu rybniku ( Hrusovak ). Vinorsky potok napajel i druhy, dnes jiz zasypany rybnik Hykluv, který slouzil k regulaci vody v nahonu do potocniho mlyna dole ve meste.
V teto lokalite, v sousedstvi mestske vodarny, se od pocatku 21. stoleti mesto rozrusta novou bytovou vystavbou.

In the southern part of Brandys, the road to Prague lies Vrabi previously separate village, which was the seat of Lord Tluks of Vrabi.
Vrabi was attached to the Brandys 1584. Its center of a former stronghold of baroque converted to loose, where Rudolf II. 1607 accepted the Turkish embassy. Around the year 1400 Ales from Vrabi founded Altar of All Saints in capital temple of St. Vaclav in Stara Boleslav - still used for the princely chapel on the left of the ship's Basilica, where you can see the family tree, also named Vrabska.
Vrabi is not far from the Hrusovsky pond (Hrusovak) with a mill. Vinorsky brook powered the second, the now submerged Hykluv pond, which served to regulate water in the flume mill downtown. In such a location in close proximity to the urban water works, from the beginning of the 21 century city grows with new housing constructions.
