Geocache Description:

Chinese cuisine, handicapped access, and an easy drive up... if you follow the coordinates and get there approximately on time. Starts at 5:00 pm... goes 'til 8:00 pm... with squatter's rights 'til 9:00 pm... then we gotta be outa there!

Sometime in October, 2003 Rock&Crystal decided to "put the faces to the names" and with help from dear friends the Escapades, threw an event at a local pizza parlor. To our surprise 30+ cachers showed up. No one knew at the time that was the beginning of the NUTS, and few of us had any idea how NUTS we really were, or how many (NUTS) we would become. Two years later it's hard to find an eating establishment that will seat the 120+ NUTS members (let alone allow us to return)!! But Li's Chinese Cuisine, gluttons for punishment that they are, will actually allow us back... a third time (imagine!) . The buffet is well stocked and we think the costs are still the same... Adults $10.51, Children $4.72 and old timers (65 and older, Tanky) $8.93... and most importantly the hall is free! (A rarity these days).
Should be lots of newbies that need to reveal themselves (NO... not like that!!) and lots of oldies that need to try to remember each others names! And, oh yeah... we will be giving out the brand new, first time ever, genuine NUTS/RCGDS geocoins to those who ordered them. As always, there will be raffles and prizes, and if you want a shot at a ready made, complete "genuine NUTS" geocache suitable for hiding, bring a contribution of a goodie for the cache. The winning ticket holder will have the rare and dubious honor of hiding the cache in NUTS country. We will also have a 50/50 cache (oops...cash) raffle for prize money to spend at the dollar store or army surplus of your choice. Lots of new caches, particularly in the Chico/Paradise area (hint, hint Oroville) so lots of draw for cachers from near and far who want to make a Saturday of it. Hope to see you all there, and happy caching. Please, when you log your intent to join us, let us know how many to expect so we can brace our Li's cooks for the onslot!
