This will be a fairly easy cache with just minor challenges. It
should be good for cachers of all ages. If mountain biking is to
your liking, you should be able to pedal back in without too much
problem.
So let's begin the adventure. It should be pretty simple to get
to the coords listed above. Alright, you're here but now what?
Where's the cache?
Notice the large boulder with a number chiseled on it. We placed
it here just for you. You will need to use that number to get to
the next part. Here are the coords.
N41deg XX.445
W78deg YY.952
Sorry, I guess you can't use XX and YY to get there. Maybe this
will help.
XX = 4 x (the number on the boulder)
YY = 3 x (the number on the boulder) + 1
Now you have the coords so plug them into the GPS and lets get
rolling. Isn't that a coincidence, it looks like there's a trail
just where we need to go. Watch the GPS for the almost final
destination.
So the GPS says you are there and if you see something
interesting you apparently did your math correctly. Pretty cozy
spot but we think the skylight is too big. But where in the heck is
the cache? Maybe this poorly written riddle will help you.
Time took it's toll on this little camp,
without the roof it get's quite damp.
It once had two chimneys to rid the smoke,
ya need those things or else you'd choke.
They were small and round but did the trick,
if you choose correctly you'll see a brick.
There's numbers or coords let's jump with glee,
they will lead you to the cache as you'll see.
After finding the cache, look around and enjoy the area. It
appears that there is another spot that may get overnight visitors
at times. Probably provides some shelter but we prefer the Holiday
Inn.
I want to remind people to watch out for rattle snakes. Although
this is not a rattlesnake den area they are obviously in the area.
See George1 log and picture. Just watch where you are going and
make lots of noise, use common sense when reaching into places and
you will be fine. If you do happen upon a Rattlesnake just give it
some space and do not harm it. The cache doesn't require that you
reach into a hole or back in a crack.
