Pandora's Box Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Mass Chaos Cache: Well, as it's been a bit of a dodgy history with this one, I am going to archive it. Congrats to those of you who found it, and it's predecessor further up Pandora. It looks like Pandora's Box really shouldn't be opened... Again, thanks to all that enjoyed the cache, and to those that posted notes. I'll keep my eye out for a better possible location for it.

Thanks Muchly,

MCC

Geocache Description:

This is a downtown cache. All cachers willing to make this find must be aware and alert. Searching with the eyes first is necessary. A poking stick, also adds to your safety.

There can be many muggles, so I'm giving a very descriptive clue. If you haven't the time to be stealthy and safe, please save it for another day. As you all know to do, please rehide as well or better than you found it. There's lots of Ivy, no need to leave this one poking out too much! [:)]

Pandora's box was originally a jar, but one case of mistranslation leaves us with our long standing phrase.

In myths the jar was said to contain all the worlds evils ills and disease. This was a punishment to mankind, since Prometheus had stolen the gift of fire. Pandora was created and given to the brother of Prometheus by Zeus. Having created Pandora with the gifts of seduction and curiosity, he told her never to open the jar. When she did Zeus had his vengeance on mankind. However, below the evils and ills of the jar at the very bottom lied hope, and once the jar was opened evils and ills spilled unto the world, and only hope remained.

In the cache you'll find a log, pen and hope. Leave yours on the blank slips within, or for super stealth bring your own prewritten hope on a piece of paper to leave in the jar.
