Geocache Description:

A small cache marks the current end of a brand new trail in San Carlos.

Hey, GBAers, guess what we found? A brand new trail, not on any maps, and without any caches - until now!

This trail takes off from the existing Big Canyon loop trail (accessed from Brittan Avenue) and works eastward along the scenic and sewer easement on the north side of the canyon. For now, it ends near this cache location, but we guess it will eventually connect to another trailhead near Spooky, Spooky Halloween.

While it isn't completed yet, the trail is obviously being used by local joggers and walkers. From some mentions we found on the net, we guess the work is being done by the San Carlos and Belmont Sierra Club group, so we have the dubbed the cache and trail in their honor, pending an official name. When completed, the trail will be a northern counterpart to the Eaton Trail well known to Peninsula walkers and cachers.

You are looking for a camo-taped large cosmetics jar, a ways off the trail. See waypoint for the trail start location in Big Canyon Park.
