The Taft Shooter's Challenge is a shooting and Geocaching event held every year after Thanksgiving. This is your opportunity to come join your fellow Geocachers in practicing for the shooting portion of the race.
You can start showing up at the event between 8 AM and 9 AM to sign the event log, start swapping Geocaching stories, share trackables, and prepare for the shooting portion. You do not have to participate in the shooting portion to attend this event, but then you are missing out on most of the fun! The shooting portion of the event starts at 9 AM and should last approximately until noon. Cost is $10 for TSC Members and $15 for non-TSC members. Bring your .22 LR rifles or pistols or if you have centerfire pistols/revolvers or pistol caliber carbines you can shoot those too. There are a limited amount of loaner guns available as well.
Let's celebrate Australia by shooting guns the day after Aussie Day, something they severely limited themselves from doing anymore. Attending this event will earn you a souvenir! See you there and then go enjoy Geocaching in Taft after you are done!
And don't forget to mark your calendars for the upcoming KCC Reverse Wherigo Geoart Race Finish Line Event on Saturday February 17, 2018! This race is going to be epic and you don't want to miss it!
