Tower Power Traditional Geocache

Quilter512: They are getting ready to tear down the old tower at the airport along with some surrounding structures. In the process someone removed the cache container and I guess threw it away. May try to replace it if the airport allows. Sorry it's gone....it was a popular cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a unique park & grab available only between 6am and 10pm. It is large enough for the logbook and small trackables or geocoins. Depending on the air traffic, you can hang out here and watch some takeoffs & landings, maybe even take some pictures to post with your log.

Remember, it's a "small" cache, so you don't have to mess around with the "large" wooden cabinet, it's not in there. From what I've been told, the cabinet is the old key return box for what used to be a rental car area/gas station.

Approval has been granted by the airport manager, but since airports are security sensitive Please Be Discreet and Respectful, especially in the presence of any muggles.

Also, feel free to walk over and check out the nearby benchmark (GW1152) in the grass. You couldn't get much closer!
