Our annual Conejo Cachers geo-party - this year, a couple hours of volunteer work followed by a great party!
1-4pm at Conejo Botanic Garden. Meet at 1pm at garden entrance (near basketball courts - see photo). This 33 acre scenic community garden is run entirely by volunteers and would love our help sprucing up the place a bit.
Gals, throw your hair in pony-tails and bring your gardnin' tools, boys, grab your overalls and rakes...we will be spending just a couple of hours in the garden smellin' some real nice flowers and maybe planting a few. Plan on getting some dirt under your nails!!! Bring gloves, good shoes and gardening clothes.
We'll be spreading mulch (bring a pitchfork if possible), picking up litter, pruning, hauling and generally sprucing up the garden.
Email us if you can bring small motorola-type two-way radios so we can stay in touch in the garden.
We'll plan to eat around 3 and if we have any energy left....do tug-o-war, frisbee and football again in the park next to the garden.
Bring your picnic basket, food and beverages (including items to share) and blanket for a relaxing picnic with great friends after a rewarding day of helping out the volunteers at the Conejo Valley Botanical Garden!
Directions: 101 to Lynn Rd north; right on Gainsborough, right on Jeanine Dr into Conejo Community Park. Park in lot at dead end near restroom - follow signs to Botanic Garden entrance.
