The cache is located on the southern summit of Silver Star Mountain. This area was recently featured in an episode of Finding Bigfoot http://animal.discovery.com/tv/finding-bigfoot/episode-guide.html . Multiple ways to approach if you don't have a helicopter to drop you off. The most common routes are via the Grouse Vista Trail, Ed's Trail or the Silver Star Trail. You now need a WA Discovery Pass to park at the Grouse Vista TH, and you will need a NW Forest Pass to start at the Northern TH. Silver Star has two summits. The north summit is the true summit, and is a former lookout site. You can see bits of the old foundation there, find a benchmark and sign the summit register. The cache is located nearby on the south summit.
