The Majura Parkway project is a $288 million project, and is the single largest road infrastructure investment ever made in the ACT. The project was jointly funded in 2011 by the Commonwealth and ACT Governments.
The Majura Parkway is 11.5 kilometres of dual carriageway and will link with the Monaro Highway near Pialligo. It is a duplicated road with two lanes in each direction and a speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour. Most importantly – there is a wonderful cycleway associated with the road!
This cache is part of the Majura Cycleway series which Goldenwattle started and many other cachers have since contributed to. This cache is my contribution to this growing series [:)]
Others are invited to continue this series also, and it would be nice if the naming convention is continued, but naturally we have no say with this. This series is designed to be accessible principally by cyclists and walkers.
