Bouncy Bunny goes Camping by the Lake
As the weather was now getting nicer, Dufus Dog and Kitty Cat
asked their good friend Bouncy Bunny along on a camping trip.
Bouncy Bunny of course was more than excited, despite having a sore
paw. However, Bouncy Bunny was no super hero and hence was
pampering her paw a little. They certainly picked a very nice
camping day. The sun was shining and the winds were calm. It was a
nice clear sky. They had also packed some sandwiches and other
snacks, so that they wouldn’t get hungry. “Did you
bring along the GPS?” asked Dufus Dog. “I sure
did” replied Bouncy Bunny. They all remembered how much
enjoyment they had the last time they went geocaching. As they
arrived at the conservation area, they parked near the lake and put
their boat in the water. “Hey look there’s a hole in
the boat”, noticed Kitty Cat. Luckily Dufus Dog had a fix
that worked and it was just fine again. Then they were on their way
across the lake.
“I think this is the best day and thanks again. I feel
very lucky that I was invited”, said Bouncy Bunny with
excitement. At that moment, the hole in the boat began leaking.
“Heaven help us”, cried Kitty Cat in a scared voice.
“Don’t worry, everything is just fine”, assured
Dufus Dog and grabbed a bucket and started bailing the water. I
think next time I'll bring my new boat along”, said Bouncy
Bunny. However, so far despite the problem with the leaky boat,
they were still having fun and enjoying the day. They made it
across the lake alive. The friends were all tired now from all the
rowing and bailing of water, so they decided on having some lunch.
“Bon appetite”, they all said and enjoyed their food.
Bouncy Bunny looked if there were any geocaches nearby, and sure
enough there was, and it was not far away. They found the geocache
rather quickly as they did not need a far walk from where they
docked their boat. Afterwards the trio decided that some fishing
was in order and started digging in the ground in hopes of finding
some worms, which they would use as bait. They each caught a fish
and cooked them on their campfire. “What a wonderful day this
was”, said Bouncy Bunny excitedly, and with that, they
snuggled in their sleeping bags and were soon fast asleep.
