WARNING!
THIS CACHE HAS MOVED!
PLEASE READ THE ADDITIONAL HINT!

Manchester International Airport Travel Bug Exchange.

Cache is the slightly larger sized ammo box that was formerly used as GCCD09 Southampton Water Large and was recovered when the cache was archived. It still contains the original logbook so this cache, MIATBX starts off with some previous history! Please log your visit in the new MIATBX logbook. For those returning hunting/exchanging TBs there is a third logbook in the cache for your subsequent visit.

Originally placed close to the airport perimeter as 'Self Styal'd MIATBX' this cache was used as a demonstration of Geocaching to airport security officials before being moved to its current location. Feel free to exchange items but bear in mind that this cache is primarily a TB exchange so please leave plenty of room for this purpose.

When placing this cache in it's current location I have given consideration to the cacher who is on their way to catch a flight. Unfortunately due to the high state of security it would not be appropriate to place a cache too close to the airport.

Manchester International Airport caters for travellers with scheduled flights to and from all sorts of places and charter flights to all over the place! Well, do you really expect me to list them all here when they've got a website at:

www.manchesterairport.co.uk

The final twenty metres is into woods but the undergrowth is fairly sparse. You can't be seen clearly at the cache site from the path but do watch out for muggles possibly playing in the area especially during school holidays. The noise from the motorway is rather loud so there is little chance of being heard! Your GPS should hold it's satelite fix all the way in but as a precaution be aware of what information it's giving you before you go in.
