The cache is hidden somewhere in this park.
The 1st of October is Tokyo Citizen's Day. On this day in 1898, the State of Tokyo was established. We, the members of geocaching groups in Tokyo, celebrate this occasion by hiding this cache, along with many other caches, all over our city. Many city-run parks, museums, zoos, and other attractions will be free on this day.
I think here used to be a schoolyard of Nishimachi elementary school because the hospitan next to this park was a building of Nishimachi elementary school. You will see some monument of the school at the side of the hospital.
There is a toilet and various interesting play equipment and you will see children of mothers are enjoying. In recent years the park has been prohibited to suck a cigarette but it seems okay to smoke because there is a note of "Please bring back cigarette in portable ashtray". Cache is hidden in a corner of the park. Please bring your own pen.
1０月１日は東京都民の日です。東京の施政は１８９８年のこの日に始まりました。 東京のジオキャッシンググループは共同でこの日を祝いキャッシュを設置しました。 多くの都立の施設、公園、庭園、ホールの入場料は無料となります。
隣にある永寿総合病院は元は西町小学校だったそうで統廃合で無くなっていますがその面影の石碑などが永寿総合病院に面したところにいくつか残されています。ここはその西町小学校の校庭だったのでしょうか非常に広い面積の公園で都会の真ん中で落ち着いて休むことができます。トイレと面白い遊具などがあって天気がいいと子供連れのお母さんたちで賑わっています。
最近公園ではタバコを吸うのが禁止されていますがここには「吸い殻は携帯灰皿などを使い持ち帰ってください」という注意書きがあるのでタバコを吸ってもいいようで愛煙家のジオキャッシャーにとっても天国かも(2015-10）。キャッシュはその公園の一角に隠してあります。ペンは入っていないのでご持参ください。
