The trail involved is a little bit steep at the outset, but levels
out fairly quickly, and is pretty flat the rest of the way in.
The coordinates given are those of a rather interesting monument
in Gapland, Maryland. It's worth a visit, even if you don't go
after the cache. From the posted coordinates, parking from here
should be fairly obvious. Locate the ruins of the old barn, and
take a reading from the sign that tells about its history (let the
GPS unit 'settle' for a minute or two while you read the sign).
Leave the barn and travel northward, up a rather well-known trail,
to a sign at an intersection. Take a reading at this sign.
To these coordinates, add:
N 00.108 minutes
W 00.037 minutes
This should bring you to a small clearing off to one side of the
main trail, next to some rocks. Take a reading here (specifically,
I used the small white rock sticking out of the ground at the base
of a tree with two trunks).
To these coordinates, add:
N 00.009 minutes
W 00.030 minutes
These will be your final coordinates. The western edge of the
clearing leads to a small boulder field, leading downhill. Be
careful here, as there are quite a few leaves covering up holes in
between the rocks. Quite a few of the rocks themselves are loose
and move around a bit when you step on them; another good reason to
watch your footing.

will take all the fun out of the hunt.
