Hands up all those who, when visiting Bathurst, have to take a quick drive around the Mountain? Everybody, hands down.
Unfortunately, not everybody makes it right around the circuit.
This cache is about one of those people. I'm pretty sure that he was the first person to die whilst competing in the Bathurst 1000 (Bathurst 500, Hardie Ferodo 500 and so on).
To log this cache is pretty simple. Just e-mail me the answers the following questions.
1) Name the driver that is commemorated on the plaque.
2) When did the accident happen?
You are also required to take a photo showing yourself with GPS and the large structure across the track at that point.
Please note that the difficulty rating of this cache increases dramatically (to about 10) on certain weekends of the year. No responsibility will be taken should you try to log this on one of those dates.
