Geocache Description:

This cache is a puzzle cache and GZ is not at the given coordinates, but they are a good place to start!

This cache is on private property (with permission of the property owner) and as such we implore you to please respect the following guides!

Please do not touch any of the items you will find here, in fact, there is a sign to please stay in the car. All numbers can be found from within your car!

Please only do this cache between the hours of 9am and 5pm, so as to not disturb the owners early or after hours!

There is no need to go past the owners dwelling (house / garage), so please stay on the track!

Please do not do this cache if the gate is shut and leave the property if asked to do so!

This Cache

Spiderman - most people big and small will associate something with this name.  A fictional superhero who started his career in the sixties as a comic character, later to star in TV series, movies, novels, on records and even computer and video games, he now appears on anything from kids lunchboxes to costumes, bedding, furniture and jewellery.

However, our spiderman is of quite a different character, though a hero in his own right.

To find this puzzle cache, you will need to explore some of his creations in order to gather some coordinates.

This is a great cache for kids to do, even if they do have to stay in the car! Our kids love going to this unique property to marvel at the creations around smiley

Starting at the given coordinates, travel east, until you see a giant spider by the road (less than 1km).

Turn north at the spider and start your hunt for the missing numbers!

This is where you enter private property and we would like to repeat to please respect this by only doing this cache during the hours of 9am and 5pm, NOT doing this cache if the gate is closed and staying in your car. ALL numbers can be found from within the car and there is no need to go past the owners dwellings!

1) At the entry to the property, above the spider, you will see some birds. How many birds (of the non flying kind) do you count?

2) Following the drive, how many dogs can you spot?

3) Look at the photo given and position yourself closely to where it was taken (no zoom used, no need to leave the car).  What are the coordinates at this point? They should read something like this:  S 34°xx.abc   E 117°xx.cba     -     don't get confused if the gnome is somewhere else in the picture, or if he appears to have visitors - he leads a busy life!

4) As you get to where the drive splits (at S...781 E...x21) , you will pass some turtles - how many turtles are here?

5) How many bears are headed for the beehive?

6) How many meercats do you count?

7) Not far past the meercats you will see an emu with his (or her?) chicks. How many chicks are here?

8) How many sharks are waiting to eat you up, should you get out of the car?

9) Near the owners dwelling (along the sculpture drive) you will see some red, spotted toadstools. How many red toadstools can you make out?

10) How many penguins can you find?

11) How many red tailed black cockatoos are sitting up in the tree between the artillery gun and the wishing well?

12) How many giraffes can you spot?

13) Find the man in the truck (see picture). Below him on the door you find a number reading yz1850?

14) How many majestic chairs did you drive past?

15) How many shoes did you see hanging in the trees?

16) How many petals do you count on the large poppy flower?

Right, with all this information gathered, here comes the task to put the puzzle pieces together. You will find, that you won't need some of the pieces - they are from a different puzzle and just there to distract you a little  cheeky

GZ is at    S 34°5A.BCD   E 117°5E.FGH

A   is  the numeral for "a" in task number 3)

B   is the number of toadstools in task 9) times 3

C   equals the number of giraffes you spotted.

D   is the number of meercats (ooops, looks like one meercat went on holidays - you will need to add the slacker in, or use the number of poppy petals instead!)

E   equals y-z (y minus z) in task 13)

F   equals the number of turtles plus penguins

G   is the number of majestic chairs you came across - or the number of dolphins (what, you didn't see the dolphins? Maybe they were out hunting fish?!)

H   equals the number of birds, bears and sharks you have counted for this puzzle. Wow, looks like another bear joint the hunt, but one more or less in the end won't make much difference - or will it?!

Now that you have hopefully found all the numbers you need, punch them into your gps and follow the track to GZ. Here you may hop out of your car, but please still be respectful of the work at hand. The cache is easily accessible and no bush bashing is required! If you find yourself in amongst some artwork, in the bush or another questionable location, you are probably wrong!
Go back to the start and have another look!

PS: The cache is pretty obvious, so please don't rummage around to find it!

Wishing you good hunting and lots of fun!  smiley Please let us know if you think things don't add up; there is a fair chance that something was changed on site!
