Geocache Description:

This was formerly known as the "Hilton Head FIVE STAR Travelers' Resort and Hotel" but the name has been changed for reasons I outline below.

I hid this Geocache with the intention of making it a convenient and family friendly place to exchange travels.

Since I originally hid it, it has been stolen twice, once by someone who cut through a 30+ year old grape vine, severely damaging the vine.

It's also been visited by a seemingly endless series of thoughtless Geocachers who apparently have no concept of the meaning of the word "TRADE", even when it is clearly marked on the lid of the ammo box.

I've had to mark well over two-dozen trackables as missing, either due to ignorant folks with Geocaching login names and a GPS but no understanding of the rules of courtesy in Geocaching or outright thieves who apparently think it's cool to steal or "collect" trackables.

It just goes to show that possession of a GPS and a Geocaching.com login does not necessarily confer any intelligence or good will on the member. I guess it's part and parcel of the increasingly rapid coarsening of American society in recent years. Narcissism and an entitlement mentality from top to bottom of our society is rapidly becoming the norm rather than an exception that was once shunned by decent folks.

Feel free to trade or grab as you see fit when you find this cache. I'll keep maintaining it until the next thief steals the ammo box and I won't replace it.
