Chapter Eight: The Upside Down

Type:Dimension Travelling

Task:Project waypoint, scan code

 and take it from there

Gear:Smartphone which can read 2D codes and VERY good legs

The Cache

First task: Project a new waypoint from the listed coordinates - 484m 343° TN. Now stroll to that point.

Second task: Have a look around and you'll find a small 2D code with further information.

Third task: This is where everything turns upside down. There are some steep bits to the cache where a rope makes a lot of sense. A simple stumble down here will have catastrophic consequences so bring some basic climbing gear. Hence the T5.

Tomorrow, When the War Began

In 1993 John Marsden released the first of seven young adult invasion novels. Tomorrow, When the War Began turned out to be one of the most popular and critically acclaimed series of novels aimed at young readers in Australian literature history. A little known fact is that most of the locations described in the novels can actually be found in real life. This cache will lead you right into the centre of "Hell" - the remote hideout of the group around the main-character Ellie. John was very accurate in the description of the places and Hell is as unhospitable as described in the books. Any attempt getting there needs to be carefully planned and executed, unless you don't mind being in all kinds of trouble.

I think that's about it so feel free to write about your journey and post some pictures. I'm more interested in a good log than a favourite point ;o)
